By using LunaFish, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If a student uses LunaFish through a parent, guardian, school, or teacher-managed arrangement, that responsible adult or organization may also have privacy responsibilities that apply to the student.
2. Information we handle
Depending on how LunaFish is used, we may handle the following categories of information:
- Account information: information such as a name, username, contact details, account role, profile information, and authentication-related data.
- Student and teacher information: information needed to connect a student with a teacher, organize classes, manage enrollment, or provide educational services.
- Classroom activity: class participation, schedules, attendance-related information, exercises, learning activity, progress, results, ratings, or similar educational records created through the service.
- Communications: messages, support requests, and other content users choose to send through LunaFish.
- Audio and video data: if a live class uses microphone, camera, or real-time communication features, the service may process audio, video, and connection data necessary to provide that class experience. We do not state that live sessions are recorded unless a recording feature is specifically presented to users.
- Technical information: IP address, device or browser information, app version, language, timestamps, diagnostic information, and security-related logs.
- Transaction information: course, package, enrollment, price, payment status, transaction reference, and related billing records. Payment-card or bank credentials may be handled directly by the relevant payment provider rather than LunaFish.
3. How information is used
We may use information to:
- create and maintain user accounts;
- connect students and teachers and provide online classroom features;
- schedule, manage, and support classes and learning activities;
- deliver communications and user-requested support;
- process or confirm purchases, enrollments, and payment status;
- maintain service reliability, prevent abuse, investigate technical issues, and protect users;
- understand how the service is used and improve LunaFish; and

4. Classroom communications
LunaFish is built to enable interaction between students and teachers. Information shared inside a classroom may therefore be visible to the teacher, participating student, and other authorized participants or administrators when necessary for the classroom or service to function.
Users should avoid sharing unnecessary sensitive personal information during classes or messages. Teachers and administrators should also use student information only for appropriate educational and support purposes.
5. Children and student privacy
Some LunaFish users may be children or minors. Where consent from a parent, guardian, school, or other authorized adult is required by applicable law, the responsible adult or organization should provide or arrange that consent before the child uses the service.
We encourage parents and guardians to stay involved in a child's use of LunaFish. A parent or guardian may contact us to ask about a child's personal information, request a correction, or request deletion where applicable. We may need to verify the requester's authority before acting on such a request.
7. Payments
When a user purchases a course, package, or other paid service, LunaFish may send transaction details to a third-party payment provider and receive a transaction or verification reference in return. The payment provider's own privacy terms apply to information it collects directly from the user.

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including providing the service, maintaining educational or transaction records, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, protecting users, and meeting legal obligations.
